Our platform is a safe, inclusive, and supportive space designed to empower families, caregivers, and individuals impacted by neurohealth conditions. To foster a respectful and secure environment, we have established the following guidelines and best practices.

1. Respect and Inclusivity

Treat all members with respect, compassion, and understanding.

Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or harmful language or behavior.

Be mindful of diverse perspectives and experiences related to neurohealth conditions.

2. Privacy and Confidentiality

Protect Personal Health Information (PHI): Do not share identifiable health or personal information about yourself or others unless absolutely necessary.

Anonymity Encouraged: Use discretion when discussing sensitive experiences to protect your privacy and that of others.

No Unsolicited Messaging: Do not privately message or solicit personal information from other members without their explicit consent.

3. HIPAA and GDPR Compliance

Handling Sensitive Information: Do not upload, share, or disclose PHI unless required by specific features of the platform that meet regulatory standards. Always obtain explicit consent before sharing someone else’s data or personal details.

Data Protection: Your data will be processed in accordance with Inara’s Privacy Policy and applicable HIPAA and GDPR regulations. Any reported data breaches will be investigated and resolved following HIPAA and GDPR requirements.

4. Community Engagement

Helpful Contributions: Share experiences, advice, and resources that may benefit others in a supportive and constructive way.

Fact-Based Information: Avoid spreading misinformation. Cite credible sources when sharing health-related advice.

Moderation Cooperation: Follow guidance from community moderators and report any behavior or content that violates these guidelines.

5. Content Moderation

To maintain a safe and positive environment, Inara employs a hybrid approach to content moderation that combines AI technology and human oversight:

AI Moderation: AI tools monitor and flag potentially inappropriate, harmful, or non-compliant content in real-time. These tools also help detect spam, misinformation, and breaches of HIPAA and GDPR guidelines.

Human Moderation: Our dedicated moderation team reviews flagged content for accuracy and context. Human moderators ensure decisions are fair, unbiased, and respectful of community members' intentions.

Transparency and Accountability: Content flagged and removed will be accompanied by an explanation, with an option for members to appeal moderation decisions.

Our goal is to balance efficiency with thoughtful, human-centered judgment.

6. Prohibited Activities

No sharing of unverified medical advice or treatment claims.

No spamming, advertising, or promotion of unrelated services or products.

No harassment, trolling, or incitement of conflict.

7. Reporting and Accountability

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, report it to the moderation team immediately.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent banning, depending on the severity of the offense.

8. Safe Sharing Environment

Content Ownership: You retain ownership of the content you share but grant Inara a license to display and use it within the community.

Opt-Out Option: You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@inara.com

Best Practices for Community Members

1. Verify Before Sharing: Always double-check the accuracy of health information before posting or sharing.

2. Support Rather Than Judgp: Offer empathy and constructive feedback rather than criticism.

3. Be an Ally: Create an environment where members feel safe and encouraged to share their journeys.

4. Respect Boundarie: Be mindful of others' comfort levels and privacy.
